Seamaster Omega Watch
Seamaster Omega Watch. It’s just one of those watches you can’t seem to ignore, and it’s little surprise that James Bond’s now got one and has had one for the last decade, or so.
The Seamaster Omega Watch is the signature model watch for Omega. The company chose it’s Omega name to symbolize it’s status as the last word in watch production. Omega have earned many awards throughout their 150 year history. Being chosen by NASA as a reliable time keeper and the official brand of the Olympic Games, and, the Omega Seamaster is one of the finest watches in the world. With all that hype for the latest Bond film, Quantam of Solace, The Seamaster Omega watch has become the watch to get.
It’s interesting to find that an amazing seven out of 10 people throughout the world are aware of the Omega watch brand. Not many watch brands can claim to do that. There is a good reason behind the success of Omega. Quite simply put, it is fine quality and reliability that make this watch stand above most other watches from its earliest begins. The Omega watch company started out in a place called La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1848. The assembly workshop was created by a 23 year old called Louis Brandt. It didn’t take log before people got to know about this guy and his reputation as a watchmaker increased. After Louis died his two sons took over, and the rest, they say is history. In 1903 it was one of Switzerland’s largest watch companies.
Now, the Seamster Omega watch ain’t cheap. One will set you back around $1,400, so make sure you like it before you buy it! It has a self winding chronometer, meaning it doesn’t need a battery, a Co-Axial Escapement movement with rhodium-plated finish, and a 48 hour power reserve. It self winds from the movement of your arm, so as long as you don’t fall asleep for 48 hours or take it off for a couple of days, you’ll have no problems.
I don’t think many will take a drastic dislike to the attractive face this watch has. The glass is a domed, anti –reflective, scratch resistant sapphire crystal and the dial has a stainless steel case with deep blue, wave style embossed face. A real stunner in regards to looks.
All in all, a great watch that will last more than a lifetime. If you can afford it, go get it. The Seamaster Omega Watch is one of the best watches of it’s kind on the market.
